The lake is a source of the White Nile and provides an income for millions of residents along the shores. Bird watching and fishing trips are some of the most popular attractions of the area, and boat trips or hikes can also be arranged. The lake is a beautiful attraction, and a must-see for all. Rubonda Island National Park, which includes several other smaller islands, is on the southwest shores of Lake Victoria and can also be visited. · Ngorongo Conservation Area The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is home to the famous Ngorongoro Crater which is the world’s largest inactive, unfilled volcanic caldera which is still intact. The crater formed when a large volcano exploded, and then collapsed on itself approximately two to three million years ago. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is also home to many wild animals such as wildebeests, rhinos, and has the largest lion population in Tanzania. It is also the home to Olduvai Gorge, the archeological place where the earliest known specimens of humans were discovered. It is another great place to spend a vacation with family or friends, and a great way to unwind and relax.
