SAMSUNG Electronics Tanzania launched its first Samsung Smart School Program this month to support the initiated program under Ministry of Education known as Tanzania Beyond Tomorrow. The aim of this program is using ICT (Information Communication Technology) to alleviate the problem of the shortage of teachers, learning materials, and reinforce the eLearning environment in Tanzania that will expand the opportunity to make education available to anyone, anywhere and at anytime.
Tanzania Beyond Tomorrow Program is an innovative eLearning initiative which is mainly focused on transforming the secondary school system across Tanzania by bringing in the best technologies and partners together to make learning more effective and accessible to all environments across Tanzania. Samsung Smart School allows teachers and students to share various content through a combination of modern ICT equipment. The advanced teaching solution provides an enhanced and flexible learning environment.
The Country Manager for Samsung in Tanzania, Mr. Kishor Kumar explained the objectives of Samsung Smart Schools Program in connection with Tanzanian education system, “This Launch of our Samsung Smart School Program in Tanzania has come on the right moment as this innovative solution frees educators from the confines of standing at a chalkboard or projector and allows them to move about the classroom, conducting interactive lessons and activities through their smart blackboard and laptops. We’re confident Tanzania School teachers and students will find it to be a powerful and effective platform for engaging with each other, elevating learning, and fostering a truly interactive classroom learning environment” stated Mr. Kishor.
Samsung Electronics globally launched this special program that aims to benefit schools by easing the learning environment through eLearning. Samsung Smart School Program is an advanced teaching solution that allows a teacher to teach effectively and encourage student participation in lessons.
According to Mr. Kishor Samsung the Smart School Program makes lessons more dynamic and entertaining by using multimedia content, which is an effective method to communicate information. Enjoy various functions that allow teachers and students to communicate more interactively. For integrated effective class management, three different programs are provided for tablet devices, PCs and web servers.
Although most educators are aware of these planned changes, many are uncertain about how the classroom teaching environment will change. However, progressive schools are implementing electronic classroom teaching tools and are finding improved results in learning engagement and classroom management.
The Samsung Smart School solution helps to boost student retention rates by providing an interactive learning environment where they actively participate in the lesson. Students become more engaged in the subject matter with hands-on experience and collaboration in the classroom and beyond, helping them to retain what they learn.
