WITH the advent of globalization large multinational companies have taken the opportunity to venture into all four corners of the world. Today Tanzania plays host to many of these companies as it seeks to adapt to the worldwide integration and development that is commonly referred to as the global village. Various companies from manufacturing to electronics are now ever present in the Tanzanian market, battling it out for market share and the trust of its citizens.

With the aspiration of becoming the leading consumer electronics supplier in the country Samsung Electronics Tanzania has employed a new tactic that involves reaching out to the dealers and individuals who are the backbone of their business activities. The electronic giants have been to cities including Mbeya, Mwanza, Arusha and Dodoma where they have been hosting their dealers and prospective business partners in a series of conference.

Speaking during a similar event held in Dar es Salaam, the Managing Director of Samsung Electronics Tanzania Mr. Dongha Jang spoke of the need to conduct such activities across all the regions stating that “this is an opportunity to bring us closer and create a sense of togetherness with the individuals that are responsible for our business growth” he went on to highlight how as Samsung they have made it their mission to reach out to these businessmen not just to know of current business activities but also for the dealers to share the challenges faced.

Being a large global brand Samsung Electronics also used this opportunity to further educate the dealers on their products to ensure they are delivering to the level of service and standards it has come to be renowned for. The most recent Dar es Salaam Dealers Conference saw the electronics firm use the setting as a platform to launch two of its flagship AC and Freezer products. Dealers and guests attending witnessed the unveiling of the Triangle AC and subsequent Duracool Chest Freezer into the Tanzanian market. The devices are series of product that have been built specifically to deal with the African environment of sporadic electric patterns, and the growing demand for comfortable lifestyles.

Mr. Jang commenting further on the activities said “it was essential to use this platform to launch these new products as it allows our dealers to be privy to the new innovative features that are associated. The aim is to also ensure the dealers leave these conferences with enough knowledge on the Samsung products, brand and services”.

In taking steps similar to this one Samsung Electronics Tanzania are looking to build more on their current status as the leading consumer electronics supplier in the country.
