MISA-TANZANIA to celebrate Right to Know Day by naming Most Open & Secretive Government Institutions 2015

THE Media Institute of Southern Africa (MISA) Tanzania Chapter will on Monday, Sept 28
celebrate the International Right to Know/Information Day by launching a report on Access
to Information in Public Institutions.

Recently, the organisation conducted a study to measure the most open and transparent
public institution in Tanzania. The research also measured the most secretive public
institution based on citizen’s access to information they hold.

The research sought to assess the level of public access to information held by government
and public institutions in the country. The event will be held at MISA-TAN premises in Kinondoni Mkwajuni, Dar se Salaam.
