KAYMU Tanzania’s number one online marketplace, has once again partnered with the University of Dar-es-Salaam, this time in The 2015 UDBS Marketing Forum. The Forum is expected to take a single day, Saturday, 6th June 2015, where potential marketers (marketing oriented students) will meet with corporate practitioners. Students will get time to give their views on issues relating to marketing and business environment.
Kaymu will be amongst the many companies that will be there on Saturday, to showcase and educate about their business. They will have the opportunity to introduce its organization to students, academic staff and the general public who could in turn be potential clients as well as employees. Kaymu also sees this as a chance to be part of the contribution in supporting higher learning institution students in the area of study.
Erfaan Mojgani, Kaymu Tanzania Country Manager has been invited as a special guest and speaker to share his experience and inspire the participants at this year’s Forum in the area of “E-COMMERCE”. An excited Mr. Mojgani, went on to say, “This Forum is a great venue to attract people across different industries in Tanzania, from business to entertainment, to share their experiences and insights in hopes of inspiring young people to find their calling and take focused action to pursue and build meaningful careers. It will be a great experience, and I hope we can work together in establishing even bigger and better Forums like this one and make them happen more often”
Docta Ulimwengu, a student at the University of Dar-es-Salaam who is the chief planner of this event and who is the President of The Dar-es-Salaam University Marketing Association (DUMA) mentioned that, “The 2015 Marketing Forum will be a great platform for businesses to get recognized by the students and as well for these same businesses to know some of the students, because in a matter of a few months and years these same students will be looking for jobs at these same companies. It is a chance for the speakers to inspire the youth as well; we need inspired youth for the greater good of this community. We are certain the event will be big, fun and exciting to all.”
The previous marketing forum, held last year at Nkurumah Hall, UDSM, accommodated students from UDSM’s different colleges, institutions and schools. The forum also invited students from other Higher learning Business institutions and this year, students from Institute of Finance Management(IFM), College of Business Education(CBE), University of Dodoma(UDOM), Tumaini University, St. Augustine University(SAUT), Moshi University college of Business(MUCOBS), Ruaha College, Tanzania Institute of Accounting (TIA), Kampala International University (KIU), Dar es salaam center, Mzumbe University, Institute of Social Work (ISW) DSM, Open University of Tanzania (OUT), and St John’s University, DSM are expected to be present as well.
