Saudi Aramco is seeking a Gas Processing Specialist in Dehydration, Hydrate Formation and Inhibition Engineering to join the Process & Control Systems Department/Upstream Division, based in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or other related degree from an accredited university. A Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Chartered Engineer (C.Eng.) license or registration would be desirable but is not essential. A minimum of 10 years of professional experience, including at least 10 years of experience in gas and liquid dehydration, hydrate formation and inhibition and NGL recovery systems and 3 years of experience in-plant gas processing/conditioning operations. Experience in conducting economic feasibility studies, auditing and reviewing new and existing systems. Must be competent with the use of process simulation software packages, such as HYSYS and Promax. Duties:
Responsibilities include: • Conduct economic studies and cost analysis of different gas and liquid dehydration, hydrate formation and inhibition and NGL recovery systems. • Audit and review existing gas and liquid dehydration, hydrate formation and inhibition and NGL recovery facilities/systems to identify improvement opportunities, potential problems, and remedies to existing problems. • Work closely with operating plants, pipelines and other engineering organizations. • Participate in studies, evaluations and investigations in collaboration with other Saudi Aramco and outside organizations related to new and existing gas and liquid dehydration, hydrate formation and inhibition and NGL recovery systems. • Develop plans for reviewing and incorporating new technologies in Saudi Aramco plants, should conduct simulation studies using Saudi Aramco licensed software packages covering process simulation software, such HYSYS and Promax. • Deliver presentations to an international audience of experts and publish technical papers. • Mentor Saudi Arab engineers and future gas and liquid dehydration, hydrate formation and inhibition and/or NGL recovery specialists. • Conduct economic studies and cost analysis of different sulfur recovery systems of both gas plants and refineries. • Audit and review existing sulfur recovery facilities/systems to identify improvement opportunities, potential problems, and remedies to existing problems, should work closely with operating plants and other Engineering organizations. • Participate in studies, evaluations and investigations in collaboration with other Saudi Aramco and outside organizations related to new and existing sulfur recovery facilities/systems. • Develop plans for reviewing and incorporating new technologies in Saudi Aramco plants. • Conduct simulation studies using Saudi Aramco licensed process simulation software packages, such as Promax and Sulsim.
