Dr. Ramadhani Dau has been elected member of the Governing Bureau of the Geneva-based International Social Security Association (ISSA).


The Secretary General of the International Social Security Associations (ISSA) Mr. Hans-Horst Konkolewsky (l) congratulates Dr Dau for being elected a member of the Governing Bureau of the organization at a brief function at the Cape Town International Conference Centre yesterday. During the short meeting between the two, the ISSA Secretary General confered the honour to Tanzania to host the next Africa Region Social Security Forum at a date to be announced later. this will bring together all social security funds in Africa.

Story by Alfred Ngotezi The Director General of the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) Dr. Ramadhani Dau has been elected member of the Governing Bureau of the Geneva-based International Social Security Association (ISSA).
Dr. Dau’s election took place on Wedsnesday night at the Cape Town International Conference Centre in Cape Town, South Africa, will hold office for three years. His constituency consists of 15 Eastern and Southern African countries.
Alongside him, Prince Dlamini Lonkhokhela of Swaziland has also been elected to the Bureau of universal social security organisation.
The two will represent Tanzania, South Africa, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Seychelles, Swaziland, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Madaqgascar, Lesotho, Kenya, Uganda, Djibouti and RwandaThe International Social Security Association (ISSA) is the world’s leading international organization bringing together national social security administrations and agencies.
The ISSA provides information, research, expert advice and platforms for members to build and promote dynamic social security systems and policy worldwide. Founded in 1927, the ISSA has around 340 member organizations in nearly 150 countries.
The President of the ISSA is Corazon de la Paz-Bernardo, from the Philippines, and the Secretary General is Hans-Horst Konkolewsky, from Denmark
