THE rapid increase of mobile phone subscribers and Internet users in Tanzania has started to impact the real estate business in the country. It has begun to trigger changes in how businesses in the country operate, as well as simplifying access to real estate services.

Five years ago around 90% of residents would search for properties by walking around the city all day, this is now beginning to change due to the rise of mobile phone usage in the country. It is estimated that over eight million Tanzanians own a mobile phone.

However, though there is an increase of Internet users in the country, many are still unsure how to use online services to, for example, buy or rent property. To ensure that all Tanzanians are given the chance to find their dream property, global property platform, Lamudi has introduced an initiative to allow residents in Tanzania to dial for a home, by using their phones.

This service was created to allow everyone to be able to search for a home to rent or buy without walking around the cities all day, to introduce some ease into their everyday lives. Now, for Tanzanians, it just takes a simple phone-call to find that perfect property.

Managing Director of Lamudi Tanzania, Mustafa Suleimanji, explain that: “Lamudi is constantly striving to make the lives of people in Tanzania easier. We have been teaching people how to use the Internet for online services such as finding a house, in addition, adding this dial free number, will make it easier for people when they are property searching.

The importance of a dial free number is that it eases the communication and acts as a link between real estate brokers (dalalis), clients and property hunters. Let Lamudi find your dream property today, by calling (0800710022)
