VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE POSITION OF LEAGUE COMMITTEE DESK OFFICER

Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) invites applications from suitably qualified Tanzanian for the position of League Committee Desk Officer.

GENERAL STATEMENT ON ASSIGNMENT:

The League Committee Desk Officer has overall responsibility of administering the Tanzania Premier League and First Division League. She/he reports to the TFF Competitions Director.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. He/she is responsible for Premier and First Division leagues under the Director of Competitions with the following responsibilities;
a. Fixtures and draws
b. Venues
c. Logistics-travel and accommodation of match officials
d. Players eligibility as approved by the legal, ethic and player status committee
e. Match officials as approved by the referees committee
f. Compliance with competition rules in collaboration with respective committee
g. Keeping the records of all matches
2. He/she is the link between the league committee and TFF secretariat in the following issues;
a. Allocation of sponsorship funds to both clubs and match officials as per the existing sponsorship contract.
b. Handling of all communications with Premier and First Division stakeholders.
c. All marketing aspects of the Premier League and First Division League.
d. Receive and prepare summary of all matches reports ready to be submitted to relevant departments.
3. He will undertake other duties and responsibilities pertaining to the Premier League and First Division League assigned to him by the Competitions Director.

GENERAL STATEMENT ON QUALIFICATION:

The League Committee Desk Officer must have top level management qualification, knowledge and skills:

SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Minimum of Bachelor Degree Academic Certificate or its equivalent.
2. Able to speak, read and write English fluently.
3. Age: 30 years and above.
4. A minimum of three to five years experience of successful management of top flight company.
5. A degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Finance, Marketing, Law and Sports management are added advantages
6. Must have integrity, personality and ability to communicate well with subordinates and superiors.
7. Should be computer literate, capable of using key football management software.
KNOWLEDGE:

1. Knowledge of Teams management organization
2. Knowledge of current club’s leadership structures.
SKILLS:

1. Ability to establish, develop and manage execution of plans.
2. Self motivated and capable of working under pressure.
3. Ability to use sound judgment.
4. Ability to mediate.
5. Ability to manage and provide relevant assistance to the committee meetings.
TERMS AND CONDITION OF SERVICE:

The position of League Committee Desk Officer is tenable on a basis of a 2-year renewable contract at a negotiable remuneration package.
